I saw an add you had in craigslist. I went to some of your links and listened . Some interesting grooves and rythms.

I am an upright player and double on electric. I have played once or twice with Dan Barbiero, some years ago. I am mostly a casual player.

I was intrigued by your rig and wanted to find out what the box is that you are using on the floor. I get a lot of sounds out of my fender jazz bass with no extra electronics but, want to experiment with more sounds.

My next gig (8/29 New Deal Cafe) is with the group Rio Garage, a kind of a fusion of brazilian standards and suburban american jazz and rock lite. There always are some great moments .

I will keep looking for your recordings.

For a brief period recently, I was rehearsing with a start-up band that had Laura Weins as vocalist. What a talent she is! Anyway, my brief association with her (the band has since bit the dust) had me looking in on the Circus of Saints Web site and I was knocked out by what I heard. The "Get the Gimp" opener on your site is killer. I've never enjoyed bassoon more. I'll admit to logging into the site fairly often lately and playing the tunes while doing other e-mail chores. Very cool work!
